MY JOURNEY AND THE GOOD MEDICINE CONFLUENCE 🌿

From a young age, I felt the call to healing. At just three years old, I would sit beside my Nana, helping her with healing touch (what we would call Reiki now) - a simple yet profound act of connection that planted the seeds for my life’s work. But it wasn’t until I lost my father to a prescription drug overdose that I truly embraced my calling as a healer. That loss, painful as it was, fueled my desire to find another way. To offer others an alternative path to healing - one rooted in nature, love, and a deep respect for the human spirit.

As I navigate this journey, I’ve discovered that healing isn’t just about treating symptoms. It’s about reconnecting with ourselves, our communities, and the earth. We are a sick society - sickness that lies in disconnect. The chasm created by this disconnect fuels the disturbance of our natural state of being. That’s why the Good Medicine Confluence resonates so deeply with me. This isn’t just another conference - it’s a sacred gathering of kindred spirits, a space where traditional wisdom and modern innovation meet, and where healers from all walks of life come together to share, learn, and grow. It’s the beginning sparks of finding a way back to each other and to wholeness.

What makes the Confluence truly unique is its soul-centered approach (which yall know i’m all about). It’s not about flashy presentations or surface-level learning - it’s about diving deep into the heart of herbalism, exploring the relationship between plants, people, and the planet. The workshops, led by some of the most inspiring voices in the herbal world, cover everything from trauma-informed herbalism to plant energetics and ancestral healing. It’s a place where creativity thrives, and every participant is encouraged to bring their whole self to the table. For me, attending the Good Medicine Confluence would be a transformative experience. I’m eager to expand my knowledge in areas like trauma-informed herbalism and holistic wellness, not just for myself but for the clients and communities I serve. I want to learn from others who are just as passionate about healing and immerse myself in the kind of conversations that spark growth and change.

But it’s not just about the learning - it’s about the connection. In a world that often feels disconnected, events like these remind us that we’re not alone. They show us that healing is a communal act, one that requires us to lean on each other and draw strength from our shared experiences. I believe the knowledge and connections I gain at the Confluence will ripple out into my work and community, creating lasting impact.

I’m also committed to sharing this journey with others. I’ll be documenting my experience and insights on social media, offering a glimpse into the magic of the Confluence and the profound lessons it offers. I hope my story inspires others to explore the world of herbalism and join this vibrant community of healers.

Attending the Good Medicine Confluence isn’t just about personal growth - it’s about contributing to a larger movement of healing, connection, and reverence for the natural world.

Thank you to Plant Healer for creating such a powerful space for growth and connection. 🌱✨
